Behind her veneer of quiet loveliness, Nerei’s mind was, above all, practical. Her result-oriented leadership focused on finding and fixing the real-life challenges that were right in front of her.
This extended to the way she treated others, not hesitating to use or manipulate them if it was necessary to achieve what she considered to be the greater good.She was adept at making the rules and laws work for her, finding loopholes wherever she needed them.
Her cold approach to decision-making combined with a propension to quickly anger. Upsetting her was as easy as it was dangerous.
Appearance
The features of the Hearts Quadrant ran strong in Nerei Volka.
Her doll-like face was illuminated by strikingly blue eyes and framed by a mane of light blond hair. Her build was average of height, and slender.
Like many of her predecessors, she favoured traditional Heart garb, styling herself as a Queen from the Old World.
When she was in a room, she attracted the eye, even though – or perhaps because – she tended to observe her surroundings in silence.

Disaster: Nerei tends to see the worst case scenario. She is terrified that the Outside will overcome Entos and that the entire Entosian society will crumble.
Betrayal: Deep down, she fears that her manipulative nature will turn her closest allies against her.

Early Life and Shaping Events
When we think of privilege, we think of birth and of money. Growing up, Nerei had both.
There are other kinds of privilege, too, which most people take for granted and don’t even consider privilege. Things like emotional safety and reliable moral support in your formative years.
These things, Nerei’s childhood sorely lacked.
Her parents were demanding and critical, alternating between suffocating her to meet their own emotional needs and neglecting her when she needed their support. From them, Nerei learned the emotional manipulation methods she would later turn into an art.
Early on, she showed an interest in statecraft and political strategies. Her parents provided tutors from whom she learned the basis, but she didn’t fully trust academic knowledge. She extensively used the Sphere to find additional information and tailor her learning to her own aspirations.
As a result of her self-guided studies, a large part of which involved researching past and present Entosian leaders, she built a strong admiration for the controveresial Shera Azenka, who held the Hearts Chancellor title at the time.
Driven by purpose, when she entered Central School, Nerei dedicated herself to attracting Shera’s attention – achieving, once she succeded, the first step towards her future position of power.
Phantasm – Aegis
It was incredibly unusual for a Phantasm to be silver-skinned, and even more so for her to have mechanical traits.
Aegis, therefore, drew a lot of awed curiosity, which was only fed by Nerei’s propension to restrain her Phantasm’s public appearances even more than her own.
Those who had seen Aegis all agreed: she was the perfect embodiment of Nerei’s personality, with her soft and adorable face, her pastel princess dress, and her razor sharp, metal hands.
To add to the myths surrounding Nerei and Aegis, there was a rumor that Nerei had come out of her Ascent Maze Run severely injured, suggesting that she had paid a dear price for her companion.
